KELLY SHEPARD - OWNER, PASTRY CHEF, & DECORATOR
It all started with my Easy Bake Oven, circa 1994. I've always had a passion for baking. I advanced my skills in Culinary School, where I thought I wanted to own my own catering business, but quickly realized that weddings and baking were my true passion. I decided to make my own wedding cake and wanted to do something completely different. That is where my cake decorating passion came to fruition. Slowly, my hobby turned into a little business, and I eventually grew out of my kitchen. I quit my day job, so I could raise my 3 children, and bake more exclusively. Fast forward to November 2022, and that's when we opened the brick-and-mortar.

Not only do we still make custom cakes/cookies/other treats, but we now have had a store-front that offers cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats, as well as lattes and coffee on a daily basis. Our menu changes around every 6 weeks. We have two amazing bakers, Rileigh and Lyndsay. Alexis is our other cake decorator/fondant sculptor and Ashley is the face you see when you first walk in, or the voice on the other end of the phone. She keeps Kelly's Cakery running smoothly, along with keeping the calendar booked with custom orders. We have an amazing team and pride ourselves in great taste, along with a beautiful custom design, catered to each individual. To us, it's more than just cake. It is a special occasion that we get to be apart of. Thank you for letting us be apart of your big day.
